Warden's Update 8.10.16

08.10.16 | Announcements | by Fr. Travis Hines

We are excited to announce the formal search committee for our new rector!

    Dear St. B's Family -
We are excited to share with you the excellent group of people who will serve on the search committee for St. B's next Rector. Thank you for the dozens of nominations we received. The character and quality of the people on the nomination list was impressive and we are blessed to have so many people willing to lend their talents to this endeavor.
This first order of business for the committee will be to create a parish profile, which applicants will reference when they inquire about life at St. B's. We look forward to hearing your voices in order to make this a robust and informative profile of our church. Look for communication on this topic from the committee in the near future.
    The committee members are:
    Joe Flynn, Chairman
    Brea Cox
    Tonly Morreale
    George Rowe
    Andrea Sullivan
    Mavis Harrop
    Ty Sparks
    Earl Ruley
    David West, Jr.
    Nancy Cason
    Katherine Wright
    Bob Garth
    Interim Rector Update:
We also would like to report that we recently interviewed a candidate for Interim Rector and after much prayer and deilberation we decided not to ask this person to serve at St. B's. It was a very difficult decision, but the Vestry feels confident in the decision and confident in the health of St. B's to wait unitl we are sure we have found the best fit possible. Please continue to pray for the process of finding an Interim candidate.
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (BCP 818)
