Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is a primary role of the Church: living together in community, trying to love each other as Christ directed. Pastoral care as a ministry at St. B's is manifested in several different ways. The following are the pastoral care ministries within our community.

Robert Smith is the Assistant to the Rector for Pastoral Care.  Robert can be reached at . Robert coordinates and helps to oversee pastoral care for our community here at St. B's.

Lay Eucharistic Ministry

Provides support to individuals in the hospital through personal visits, prayer, and administering communion. The Ministry team serves as the focal point for communication to the church office in regards to surgeries and hospital stays. The team also provides emotional support to St. B's members who are confined to their home or a facility through periodic personal visits, phone conversations and / or written communication.

If you or a family member are in the hospital, please let the church office know at (615) 377-4750 or email Robert Smith at .

Bereavement Ministry

The St. B's Bereavement Committee is a recently-formed ministry whose goal is to streamline the process of facilitating hospitality for funerals at the church. They meet with families to discuss plans and then coordinate light snacks and drinks if desired. Contact Suzie Woolwine if you would like to help out with food or assist with planning, etc.
