A PRAYER IN RESPONSE TO NATURAL DISASTERS
Almighty and eternal God, we offer to your loving care all whose lives have been forever changed by recent natural disasters: comfort victims of the wildfires in the western United States; pour our your mercy on our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean facing catastrophic devastation; protect all who evacuate communities and seek shelter in the path of Hurricane Irma; strengthen all engaged in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey and those beginning the long process of rebuilding their lives. Finally, merciful Lord, may the souls of all who have lost their lives rest in peace, and may their loved ones come to know the consolation of your love. All this we ask in the Name of your Son Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. AMEN.
