Advent Begins Sunday, December 3
The season of Advent, which comes from the Latin word adventus meaning “coming” or “visit," begins on December 3 and ends on Christmas Eve. Advent is the time during the church year when we pray and wait with intention for the Kingdom that has already come and is yet to come. Learn more about Advent at St. B’s in the Branch.
Join us on Sundays in Advent for the lighting of the Wreath, the singing of O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and the praying for the Kingdom Come. Each week we will focus on a different word drawn from the Isaiah readings: Come, Comfort, Restore, and Plant.
Don’t miss St. Nick’s visit Sunday, Dec. 3, between services, Lessons and Carols with the choirs on Sunday, Dec. 10, at both services and the Family Christmas Concert and Carol Sing on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
