Tim Lauer
My family and I have been at St. Bartholomew's for 18 years. We started when the clergy was Fr. Jerry, Fr. Dave, and Dixon, with Eric Wyse in the loft. Our first time at stbs was my first time attending a liturgical service. I had an immediate emotional response and was deeply drawn to the beauty of the liturgy, the rhythm of the church calendar, and the Book of Common Prayer.
I have been part of the music team since the beginning and have also volunteered on coffee cleanup, been a 1st and 2nd grade teacher, a Catechesis helper, a judge for the chili cook-off, taught on the Book of Common Prayer a few times, and just served my first Sunday as an LEM. I’ve also enjoyed men’s retreats, supper clubs and morning men’s groups.
I've been married to Angela for 34 years and have three daughters: Sophia (28), Olivia (24), and Stella (16). We are a dog family. Hank, Ruby, and Rosie live with us, and Sunday family dinner includes my mom, our kids and their partners, plus three more dogs. My favorite book is Tattoos on the Heart by Greg Boyle. Lifelong Episcopalian John Steinbeck and newish Episcopalian Garrison Keillor are my favorite authors.
I moved to Nashville at 17 to attend Belmont College and have been working in the music business ever since—as a touring and studio musician, producer, songwriter, arranger, and in the last decade or so, have moved more into music for film and television.

Sean Cofoid
Sean started attending St. B's after COVID. His faith background included the Evangelical megachurches of his youth and the Churches of Christ where Kristin was formed. The time away from gathering gave his family an opportunity to reflect on faith and the role of church in their lives. They kept returning to one core conviction: faith is a team sport, and they wanted a community where they could grow by walking alongside others as much as by being supported themselves. When they started visiting churches again, they decided that, although they'd never attended a liturgical church, they should at least try the one down the street. They immediately found their new church home. Their children were baptized at the Easter Vigil in 2022. Kristin now lends her talents to the Adult Formation Advisory Team, the Flower Guild, and Chamber Choir. Sean has served on the prayer team and in Children's Formation.
Sean is originally from Orlando and came to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt University. After graduation, he worked in Orlando and Memphis before returning to Nashville to marry fellow Vanderbilt alum Kristin. They've been married fifteen years and have three children: Amabelle (11, Meigs Middle) and twins Bennett and Elliott (8, Percy Priest Elementary). The family lives down the street from St. B's on Burton Valley Road but can still frequently be seen scurrying into the sanctuary after the bell has rung.
Sean has spent fifteen years leading analytics teams at companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. He currently serves as fractional Chief Data Officer for Cardiovascular Associates of America, a private equity-backed specialty care provider, and MUSAY, a Nashville startup helping Gen Z connect with cultural institutions. He also teaches nursing informatics to graduate students at Belmont University.
Sean is a huge food nerd, and often returns to J. Kenji López-Alt's "The Food Lab" as a source of science and inspiration.

Michelle Bradley
I have called St B's my home for over 20 years and am privileged to participate in this community - I taught in the Children's formation for over a decade, served on the mission and outreach committee (with an additional role as treasurer), and am grateful to support our Thistle Farms and Room in the Inn ministries.
I have been married for 36 years to my husband Scott, a retired teacher with Metro Nashville schools. We have two children Micah (Dillon) and Eli, who are nearby in Nashville: Micah is an attorney, Dillon is an architect, and Eli is in his third year of medical school at Vanderbilt. Naturally, as an alumna myself, I am a avid Vanderbilt sports fan - particularly the women’s basketball team. In my free time, I enjoy very long hikes and walks and reading - my favorite book is Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard.
Professionally, I am a consulting actuary with SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, engaging primarily with the financial implications of risk for my clients. I studied mathematics at Lipscomb University and Vanderbilt University at the graduate level. I serve on several advisory boards at MTSU as well as on other professional boards in the captive insurance industry.

David Edwards
I’ve been attending St. B’s since moving to Nashville from Chapel Hill, NC in 1983. We moved for me to do an internship and residency at Vanderbilt, and never left. St. B’s has always been extended family to Kathy and me, blessing us in many ways. I am a happy member of the “Can Do Committee”, have previously been on Vestry, wrote a booklet on our stained glass windows, and help with RITI. Our two daughters and their husbands thankfully live in town, and we have one granddaughter, age 8.
I have had a parallel career of building and restoring doors, which is now full time since retiring 7 years ago. Known as “Dr Dave’s Doors”, I stay quite busy multitasking with no advertising or marketing. New projects and new people are always a joy. Some door projects however can have a love - hate relationship!
Regarding a favorite book (other than the Bible), I would pick “Emperor of All Maladies” by S. Mukherjee. It is a history of cancer biology, research and treatments, prior to 2010.

Claude Presnell
I've been attending St. B's for over two decades and have thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship and worship. The genuineness of faith among the people and spirit of grace and mercy continue to challenge me and draw me to St. B's. My church journey began in the American Baptist Church, then Southern Baptist (ordained), Presbyterian (PCA), and finally home in the Anglican Communion. Living outside of Nashville has hampered attendance at all the desired St. B's events over the years. I have, however, sought to serve and engage the community in a meaningful way. I have served as a greeter (back in the days when we had greeters!), an usher, a lector, and write reflections for the St. B's Dailies series. It's a joy and honor to contribute to the St. B's parish as I can.
I spent nearly 40 years in higher education administration and policy. Through this work I was engaged with state, federal, and international governments. The work allowed me to travel extensively and work with a wide range people and cultures. I retired in December of 2024 which has allowed for my wife (Cathy- also and educator!) and me to change our travel experiences from work to pleasure!
I have been asked what is my favorite book and/or movie of all time. That's a tough one!! I have some favorite authors, (such as CS Lewis, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Fleming Rutledge), but I can't seem to narrow it down to a particular book. It's kind of the same with movies. I like certain genres like, documentaries, dramas that deal with the deep questions and the human condition but also enjoy action flicks (i.e. the Bourne series).
God willing, I look forward to serving through participation in the vestry.

Meghan Lucido
My name is Meghan Lucido and I started attending St. Bs right before my second kid was born - 15 years! The first few years were tough for me personally and St. Bs was a source of strength and support for me and my kids. I have loved being a part of each season and experiencing all the changes and growth that St. Bs has gone through. As I shared during the giving campaign, St. B's has been a place that has poured into my family so much.
My family includes my husband Tony who is step dad to the Jones girls: Canaan (CJ) age 17, Naomi (Jay) age 15, and Hannah age 14. We have 2 dogs, Otis, a goldendoodle and Edie, a high maintenance standard poodle.
I currently work for MAP International as the Director of MAP USA. MAP provides medicine and medical supplies to places all over the world. My work is to expand their domestic program for our neighbors in need right here at home. Access to healthcare is a true passion of mine and I hope to always be in this kind of work in some way.
When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my family - teenagers that sometimes want to hang out with me, catching up on tv shows with Tony, taking our dogs for walks, and catching up on rest. Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, rowing, being outside, boxing, and spending one on one time with friends.
My kids and I serve as LEM, torch bearers and crucifers. We attend the 11am service and my kids are involved in the youth group. They love doing all the youth group activities including the service and learning trip. This will be CJs last year to participate as she will be graduating from high school this May. We volunteer with Room In the Inn and at the Branch. I love being a part of the formation hour committee and helping with the chili cookoff.
My favorite movies are Dead Poet's Society (drama) and So I Married an Axe Murderer (comedy).
Being a part of St. Bs continues to be a tether to God and reminds me that I am part of a large, loving, and gracious community.

Kathy Patten
My husband Tom and I have been at St. B’s almost four years. While visiting we were inspired by the justice formation series to become a part of the church’s growing commitment to work within the community to love and serve our neighbors. Shower Up, NOAH, Room in the Inn, the Branch and Nashville Neighbors have been wonderful ways to meet other parishioners as we have worked with them. Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study is full of warm fellowship and spiritual growth. And the Supper Groups add enjoyable evenings of making new relationships over delicious meals. Both continue to “feed” me.
We have two sons, both of whom are local and provide us lots of opportunities to be hands-on grandparents.
I read a lot, but “Gift From the Sea” is a real treasured classic!
It is exciting to see new faces of individuals and families joining us. I look forward to all the good that we can accomplish together as we grow in faith and service.

Alicia Lowery
My first time at St. B’s was the Ash Wednesday service in 2009. A lifelong evangelical church girl, I was curious and was so moved by the liturgy and the space I felt within it that night. I had been evolving out of my understanding of faith for years and I remember feeling like there was space for all my parts, spiritual and otherwise, to find a place of welcome at St. B’s. I also found some of my favorite “heretics” in the bookstore! I began listening to (Fr.) Dixon’s Anglicanism 101 class and stayed connected and in the fall of 2012, was invited by Fr. Jerry and Carla Schober to come work on the children’s formation staff. Over the years, I have led Liturgical Journey, completed all three levels of Catchesis of the Good Shepherd training, been the CGS director, sung in Chamber Singers, served as a LEM, facilitated Sacred Communion, and participated in a supper club. I have made so many rich and dear friendships and have continued to evolve in my faith.
I grew up in Texas and Oklahoma and moved to Nashville in 2004 to work for some friends in the music industry. A few years later, I began working in children’s ministry and started the MFT program at Trevecca, eventually working with Daystar, the YMCA, Integrity House and The Refuge Center before moving to full time private practice.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and supervisor, spiritual director, Enneagram teacher and mother of two adult children. Ian (30) and his wife Lexi live in Chattanooga and have a beautiful daughter, Tilly, who will be three years old in March. Lily (27) is recently engaged to Jansen and will be married in the fall. We came to St. B’s as Ian was launching but Lily grew to young adulthood in the youth group and as a Crucifer. I have made so many rich and dear friendships at St. B’s and have continued to evolve in my faith.
I could never choose one favorite book, but one of my most recommended is David G. Benner’s The Gift of Being Yourself.
