Meals for Parishioners

At St. B's, one way that we share God's love is by supporting our parishioners with occasional meals during a hard season of life. The Manna Ministry provides meals for individuals and families upon an illness, recovery from surgery, the death of a loved one, or while caring for a newborn, an adopted child, or an older family member. If you've ever received a meal under these circumstances, you know what a gift it can be! Please consider adding your name to the distribution list for Manna, so that you can help others in our church family. Please contact Mindy Mumme if you or someone you know at the parish needs a meal.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors

Our Lay Eucharistic Visitors are volunteers “empowered by the Holy Spirit, licensed for term by the Bishop upon appointment by the Rector, to deliver the Consecrated Elements to those unable to attend [in-church] Celebrations.” As someone once wrote, “[We] carry the Parish with [us] as a sign of the whole community’s care, support and concern for the sick, recuperating and infirm.” It is a ministry especially of presence, healing and hope. If you would like to schedule a visit from a LEV or if you know someone who might want a visit, please contact Assistant to the Rector for Pastoral Care Pam MacArthur.

Parish Prayer

We are a praying people at St. Bartholomew's. We are also committed to prayer for people, places, and particular situations. You can submit a prayer request at anytime to prayer@stbs.net.

Online Prayer Team

St. Bartholomew's has a dedicated group of parish members ready at home for confidential intercessory prayer on behalf of the needs of parishioners, their families, the church, neighbors, and the community. Please contact Assistant to the Rector for Pastoral Care Pam MacArthur for your prayers to be forwarded to our prayer group. If you would like to be part of this group, please also reach out to Pam.

Prayer Desk

Following the administration of Holy Communion on Sundays, intercessors are stationed at the prayer desks to the left of the pulpit to pray with anyone who desires it. After receiving communion, anyone is invited to come to the prayer desk. Petitions, intercessions, and thanksgivings were all welcome.

Intercessors usually serve once a month at one service. Contact Pam MacArthur if you would like to be part of this praying team.
